The people closest to the problems are the ones who often have the best solutions. Unfortunately, those who end up living with policy decisions set by government rarely have a seat at the table. As a result, the adage reminds us: if you are not at the table, then you are on the menu. This is why my Senate office is committed to creating spaces for the people of the 20th legislative district to be at the table. The roundtables reflect the core areas of: Health, Housing, Education, Environment, Small Business/Workforce, and Violence Prevention.
Roundtables are charged with informing the legislative agenda for the 20th district by helping to define policy priorities, refine positions on legislation, and co-author legislation (when applicable).
